The Entripy Tribute to Michael Jackson

I was shopping at Square One when I heard that Michael Jackson passed away. I was actually trying on clothes and I overheard one of the guys in the store talking about someone passing away. I approached him and asked him who, who? And he said Michael Jackson! I was beyond shocked and this was just hours after hearing about Farrah Fawcet’s passing. A few minutes later Jas called my cell and before he even had a chance to say anything, I said…”I know, Michael Jackson died!” WOW! It’s one of those moments that you are going to always remember where you were when you heard the news. I remember exactly where I was when I heard that Princess Diana had been killed. I was sick that day and was leaving a walk-in clinic.

Just thinking about MJ brings tears to my eyes! The Entripy Team celebrated his life on Friday! We danced, we laughed, we smiled, we sang and we remembered this amazing music icon. We were at Yonge-Dundas Square for a night out with all the staff (another blog will follow on that). Imagine thousands of people at Yonge-Dundas Square dancing and singing to Michael Jackson. To say that this was a powerful moment still doesn’t truly give it justice. I felt like he was watching down on us and other parts of the world and smiling. Think about it…MJ has been playing non-stop allover the world…from Dundas Square to London Hot Spots to Dubai clubs to Times Square to Mumbai to Paris to everywhere!!! He was a legacy and he touched the lives of people worldwide. Dancing and singing to Beat It, Billie Jean, Thriller…just to name a few! Absolutely fabulous.

I had conversations with a lot of our staff that night and people shared their MJ memories with me. He was someone that so many of us grew up listening to and to see so many people celebrating him and his music was a sight to see.

This was the ultimate Entripy Tribute to Michael Jackson…the King of Pop and a true legacy! We are in the midst of designing a t-shirt that fully encompasses and epitomizes this music icon! Stay tuned for that…

RIP Michael Jackson. You will be missed but your music and life will live on forever!
